Rhonda Griffin

In 2012, my family took a trip to Nicaragua that changed the course of our lives. We experienced many desperate and heartbreaking situations that children and families were facing. The opportunity to partner with others in life-saving work left an indelible mark on my family’s hearts. We saw that, through love and compassion, through faith and commitment, disaster could be abated and that beauty could spring forth from ashes.

The opportunity to be a part of a tea party that helps raise awareness and generate support for orphans in Nicaragua is exciting for me. I enjoy planning and hosting parties, and supporting a ministry that focuses on helping children. Scripture tells us from James 1:27; “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” I am so happy to support A Cause for Tea.

As Director of Guest Services, I interact with and get to know our guests. Our guests are the heart of this ministry and we are so very thankful for each one. Since I have been serving with A Cause for Tea, I have learned to truly enjoy a good cup of hot tea. It is a delicious and comforting beverage.Taking tea with friends is a time to slow down, savor time, and build relationships. At our events, we share the love of Christ and help to empower women and children all over the world.

My role is Hospitality & Service Director. I enjoy working with our volunteers to ensure that our guests have a memorable tea time by demonstrating love one tea cup at a time. As a nurse, I serve the women in our community during labor, delivery and caring for their newborns. A Cause for Tea is a way for me to serve on a much broader level. Every woman deserves to be empowered and every child deserves to be shown love. Serving isn’t about us receiving attention or glory; it is for Him to receive glory.
