At Teas & Stories, we invite a ‘Tea Light’ – a special representative of our ’cause’ – to share her story of strength, endurance, and overcoming challenges. The intent is to leave our guests feeling inspired and regenerated after experiencing the art and tradition of a tasting. Our tea light on March 2 is Sherri Coble Stokes.
Sherri is mom to three lovely daughters: Heather, 22; Mattie,16; and Coble, 10. She is currently working toward her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. She expects to graduate in May and pursue a career/ministry in counseling. Sherri is involved in her church where she is the education director for the Children’s Ministry and she teaches women’s Bible study. Sherri loves working with A Cause for Tea and New Life Nicaragua because she realizes the wonder of adoption. Two of her daughters are adopted, one domestically and one from Central America.
Three years ago, Sherri experienced a horrendous tragedy: she lost her husband of 28 years. Since that time, she has come to know Jesus in a whole new way. She knows the only way to survive such crises is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and trust Him only. She has realized He is the one sure thing in life and she loves to share His faithfulness with others.
Sherri’s story is sure to enlighten and motivate our guests to join the Cause and share God’s love with others. Bring your family, friends, or come prepared to socialize and meet new friends at Monroe Country Club on March 2, 2017 at 7:00pm for a lovely tea tasting with great food, and a wonderful ‘Tea Light’ sharing her story.
